The velocity right now is a prime example of what a mature platform can deliver when it leans into the founder effect and AI innovation.

1

Deployment Agent goes universal

Previously limited to Customer Central tenants, the Deployment Agent — a conversational AI assistant for consultants and admins — is now available in all non-production tenants. Tenant Admins can provision it for specific roles to get step-by-step configuration and troubleshooting support directly in their non-prod tenants.

My take: This is like having a specialist configuration consultant sitting right next to you. Great news for customers, and a productivity unlock for implementation teams. I'm looking forward to the day it can auto-generate nested calculations — PATT, Prism, and Calc fields — via natural language.
2

Workday Agents in your daily flow

Whether you're a Google or Microsoft shop, Workday is meeting you where you already work. The Sana Self-Service Agent is now generally available in Microsoft 365 Copilot, with early access in Gemini Enterprise.

Both use Agent-to-Agent (A2A) orchestration to handle HR and Finance tasks without leaving your workspace — turning the systems of record into systems of action exactly where work already happens.

3

Adaptive Decision Intelligence

A powerful new capability for AI-driven planning and modeling. Teams can ask natural language questions — "Why did Q3 revenue miss?" — and model scenarios in minutes rather than days, all while staying within the governed plan.

Currently available to early adopter customers, with broader release expected later this year.

★ The Big One

Simplified Flex Credits

Workday is accelerating AI adoption with changes that matter for every UMSA customer:

  • From May 30 through August 31, 2026, eligible UMSA customers get free production access to Sana for Workday and the Sana Self-Service Agent.
  • Complimentary Flex Credits arrive starting June 1, ready to use across other Workday AI agents.
  • Storage and Integration Events are being removed from the credit model. Platform Entitlements now focus solely on Application APIs.
  • Customers get full visibility through the Platform Consumption Console, with automatic admin alerts at 80%, 90%, and 100% consumption.

The simplification is just as important as the free access. A clearer credit model means consumption is easier to forecast, easier to govern, and easier to defend internally when leadership asks where the AI budget went.
